Hopeful Monsters Children's Theatre began in 1999 and provides children and young people with a supportive, creative environment within which they can develop skills and self-confidence and, most importantly, have fun! Classes in acting, singing and dance work towards a performance each year for friends and family.

Hopeful Monsters' shows have included:
Updated versions of 'Romeo and Juliet', 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' and 'Twelfth Night'
'Cinderella'
'Wonderland' - a new version of 'Alice in Wonderland'
'Bugsy Malone'
'Guys and Dolls'
'Oliver'
'Little Shop of Horrors'
Cabaret style shows with songs, dances and sketches written by the young people
Original short plays for the younger groups.

Hopeful Monsters are always looking for enthusiastic, vibrant children and young people to take part in our weekly classes. If your child is aged between 4 and 16, why not bring them along to join in the fun!
